Royal Oak, Swiss fine watchmaker Audemars Piguet has introduced a new steel 41mm Royal Oak Selfwinding “50th Anniversary” ref. 15510ST.OO.1320ST.03. While preserving the aesthetic codes of the original Royal Oak watches, this watch presents slight changes in the design of the case, bracelet and dial, giving the collection a contemporary look. The embossed Audemars Piguet signature is placed at noon. Each letter is connected by links about the size of a hair and placed on the dial by hand with tiny feet almost invisible to the naked eye. Finally, the minute track, which was previously printed on the flat outer surface, now appears directly on the silver dial with the “Grande Tapisserie” pattern. Luminescent faceted hour markers are part of the recognizable watch code. The caliber 4302 movement is wound automatically by the movement of the wrist and retains up to 70 hours of power reserve when fully wound.
